How to Enroll Your Charger
Enrollment registers your charger as the metering device behind your Clean Fuel credits. It's a five-minute, one-time setup with zero banking required upfront — then your home charging earns for you automatically.
Before you start — have ready
- •Your charger's serial number — printed on the unit or shown in its app.
- •Its install date.
- •The meter accuracy class — most modern smart chargers report kWh via OCPP/API telemetry (the form pre-fills this).
- 1
Create your account
Sign up with your email — no banking, credit card, or debit details are needed to enroll.
- 2
Link your vehicle (Account → My Vehicles)
Connect your EV's VIN, make, and model under your Account tab. This is identity only — your credits are metered from the charger, never from the car.
- 3
Enroll your charger (Account → My Chargers)
Under Account, pick your approved charger model and enter its serial number, install date, and province. This registers it as the metering device we validate your charge data against.
- 4
Connect & start earning
Tesla Wall Connectors sync automatically. Other smart chargers connect over OCPP 1.6J. Your charger-side kWh is logged automatically night after night toward your annual Clean Fuel Regulation credit batch.
- 5
Cash out when you're ready
Once your credits are settled, add your Interac e-Transfer email under Account → Payout Settings and click Request Cash Out on your Dashboard (retail gift cards coming soon).
Which chargers work with Jinx Charge?
We maintain an approved list of API-capable smart chargers in Canada. See the full list on the home page.
If you're buying a new charger, pick one from the approved list — that's the smoothest path to automatic credit metering.
