Jinx Charge exists for one reason: to pay Canadian EV drivers more for their charging than anyone else — and to put the rest into building more chargers, not into a pocket.
Every time you charge your EV at home, you're cutting greenhouse-gas emissions. Under Canada's Clean Fuel Regulations, that reduction is worth real money — carbon credits that trade in a regulated market.
Most EV drivers have no idea this money exists — and even those who find out through a middleman rarely see the full value of it.
We think that's backwards. The value belongs to the person who made the clean miles happen — you.
Every driver starts at 70% of what their charging earns — paid in full, with no "processing fee" and no discount. The other 30% goes straight into building more EV charging across Canada.
Members get 100% of their credit value for one simple flat fee — $5.99/month or $59/year — billed separately and never taken out of your payout. That's the Costco card: pay a small membership, get the full value back.
It's the Costco way of doing energy: keep our cut small, return more value to drivers than typical reward programs, and let the trust do the selling. If we can't show you the math, we shouldn't be touching your money.
Every dollar of credit value is reinvested into EV charging — as cash to you, or as chargers you can use. Nothing sits in our pocket.
Direct Interac e-Transfer (with full-face-value gift cards coming soon). Your 70% share is paid in full — no discount, no spread, no fee. Members get 100%.
We reinvest into more EV charging infrastructure — more places for you and your neighbours to plug in. A community that charges together builds a bigger network.
To be completely straight with you: we don't take a cent of your credit value, and we don't sell your data. Under the Clean Fuel Regulations (s.103), 100% of credit money has to be reinvested into drivers or chargers — so there's nothing to skim even if we wanted to.
Our bills are paid two ways, both out in the open:
Your credits are yours. Your data is yours. We make our living from memberships and chargers — not from you.
We pass through a larger share of your credit value than typical flat-rate reward programs. The customer wins.
Every credit, every payout, every dollar is tracked and traceable. If it can't be audited, it doesn't happen.
Canadian-owned, operating under Canadian law (SOR/2022-140), with our core database hosted in Canada.
Jinx Charge was founded by a Canadian EV driver who watched the middlemen take a cut of money that belonged to drivers — and decided to build the transparent version instead.
No venture backers to please. No "growth at all costs." Just a simple promise: give drivers their fair share, reinvest the rest into more charging, and let the numbers speak for themselves.
